A foundational part
of the Felt project is the
Sustainability in all
its forms
Talking about sustainable development means being concerned about keeping the environment, economy and society in balance, in order to meet everyone’s needs and ensure better living conditions for people, in the present and in the future.
Taking this goal seriously means having an integrated perspective that constantly accompanies the company’s vision: it must concern not only the product but also the production processes and the people who are part of them. That is why when we talk about sustainability we refer to the products we design, but also to the processes that lead to those products and their environmental and social impact.
SUSTAINABLE COLLECTIONS
Sustainability of textiles is the core of our ethics and practice. That is why we already offer some of the items in a version made from recycled and organic yarns, in both natural and synthetic fibers.
Green Felt is our
production of garments
environmentally sustainable
garments that are controlled at every stage of processing
SUSTAINABLE PROCESSES
Attention to the environment is at the core of Felt’s operating practices.
The group’s weaving mill has GOTS, GRS, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications; is equipped with a photovoltaic system over the entire company’s suferface to reduce energy consumption; is equipped with a heat recovery system produced by the machines to heat the environment; and it is equipped with an air conditioning and humidification system to reduce dust in the work environment.
For the rest of the supply chain, Felt relies on companies that consistently with our commitment are are embarking on paths of greater awareness and responsibility.
The finishing phase, the most delicate of the supply chain, is carried out exclusively in certified companies that follow processes aimed at reducing environmental impact (reduction of chemicals, water and energy consumption, waste reduction).
CERTIFICATIONS
Certifications are a concrete project that our group has been pursuing for some time to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, in everything we produce and how we produce it.
